Hello! I’m Jenn and I am a physiotherapist at Ridgeline Physio. I was born and raised in Calgary, and moved to British Columbia in 2011 to completed my Bachelor in Kinesiology at the University of Victoria. Following this, I worked as a Rehabilitation Assistant in Whitehorse for three years, before returning to British Columbia to complete my Masters of Physical Therapy at the University of British Columbia as a part of the first northern cohort in Prince George. My approach utilizes manual therapy techniques, active strategies, and evidence-based education to reduce pain, improve movement, and prevent further injury. I have gravitated to treating concussions and vestibular disorders, amongst any orthopedic injury. I have completed my Level 1 course in Advanced Integrated Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy from the Canadian Division of Orthopaedic Manual and Manipulative Therapy. I am a Level 2 Provider with Shift Concussion Management, and have received extensive vestibular training.
With a previous and current history as a high-level athlete, I understands what it takes to rehabilitate an injury and successfully return to the sport and activities that you love. I am keen to work with individuals from all walks of life to help them achieve their personal recovery goals.
Outside of work, I am an avid mountain biker, trail runner, xc skier, snowboarder/split-boarder, climber, and anything involving the mountains! With this, I have experienced my fair share of injuries and concussions, and have gained valuable insight into the physical, emotional, and social implications that result from these. I am looking forward to helping you reach all of your rehabilitation goals!
My primary areas of focus are helping individuals with:
Orthopedic injury rehabilitation
Concussion rehabilitation
Vestibular rehabilitation
Bike Fitting
IMS
TMJ (Jaw) Physiotherapy
Working with athletes
Strength and conditioning programming

I completed my Master’s of Physiotherapy at McMaster University in 2019 and my BSc at the University of Victoria in 2016. Although originally from Ontario, I have always loved the mountains, and am so excited to call Fernie my home! As a multisport athlete, I understand the demands of various sports including mountain biking, skiing, field sports such as soccer, field hockey and rugby, hiking/mountaineering, whitewater paddling, and rock climbing. I have competed as a member of the Canadian National Cycling Team representing in Mountain Biking, the University of Victoria Women’s Field Hockey Team, and represented Ontario in Mountain Biking, Alpine Skiing, and Field Hockey. As a previous elite athlete, I have a strong understanding of the demands of sport and how to tailor rehabilitation to the goals of the individual. As a coach and previous outdoor educator, I have a passion for education that enables me to help individuals understand their body and meet their unique needs. I believe in an active approach to rehab, and approach rehab through a lens of strength and conditioning programming.
I have a particular interest in working with athletes, older adults, those experiencing chronic pain, people interested in fall prevention programs, individuals with complex medical histories, and any individual who is ready to take an active approach to rehab. In addition to treating orthopedic injuries, I treat people who are having vestibular and concussion-related symptoms. I have a strong interest in injury prevention, and I look forward to helping you reduce your risk of future injury. I believe education and exercise are the foundations of rehabilitation, and I use this to tailor treatment plans to meet your unique needs. I look forward to exploring these with you and empowering you to return to the activities you love.
I believe everyone regardless of age, race, gender, medical history, or physical ability has the right to engage with life in the way that they desire. My goal is to support you in reaching your goals and helping you develop and execute a plan to get you there.
Outside work, you can find me in the mountains! I love to hike, mountaineer, mountain bike, ski (both on resort and in the backcountry!) whitewater paddle, climb, and trail run. I love to travel, and recently returned from trekking for 6 weeks in Nepal. Ask me about my adventures outside and I will always have a new story for you!
I run injury prevention workshops with teams and clubs, if you are interested in running a workshop in person or virtually please reach out to us at the clinic!
I am passionate about concussion care, I have been supporting concussion and vestibular clients for the last 5 years. I have completed multiple courses in the area, including recently completing a 6-month education and mentorship program called ‘Concussion Nerds’. This is a program that is leading the evolution in concussion care in Canada, keeping up with best practice, and continuously keeping updated with ongoing concussion research in rehabilitation and technology.

Registered Physiotherapist, Ridgeline Physio She/Her
Hi Fernie! I’m thrilled to be part of the team at Ridgeline Physio. Originally from New Zealand, I completed my Physiotherapy studies at the University of Otago in 2021. After graduating, I have spent time in New Zealand working in a musculoskeletal private practice, treating a wide range of patients, and developing a strong foundation in evidence-based care.
I enjoy working with a wide range of orthopedic conditions and have a particular interest in lower limb injuries and return-to-sport programs. My approach is hands-on, patient-centred, and focused on helping people understand their bodies so they can take an active role in their recovery.
Alongside physiotherapy work, I’m also part of the Ski Patrol team at Fernie Alpine Resort. Outside of work, you’ll usually find me exploring the mountains - skiing, mountain biking and trail running.
